i often find that a guy with a black hat is super cute.... until he takes it off and BALD SPOT!
But if a guy my age is wearing a black hat, he's probably already married with 5 kids...
Why oh why don't these people wear wedding rings?
not that these types would go for me anyhow! - frumpunk has already ruined my rep ;)

Then you must be quite young , beacuse in Brooklyn it's quite common to find 25 year olds with 5 kids..
And just for the record Black hatters these days are far from being a label of frumness..
You can find all types in the black hatter category...
So keep on looking.............

This is how I feel about payos. I keep trying to convince my husband to grow them... he's not going for it, though I did get him to grow a beard! Yay!
I like hats too!
there are different type of black hatters. There are the yeshivish up hat ones, then there are the yeshivish ones that wear them every day, and then there are those that wear them on shabbos and special occasions - those are the ones that might be your type.

Black hats do seem to be popular among men who are vertically or follicly challenged.
Some men look great in hats, others, not so much. It's the same with any style.
MM-maybe its not so much the look, but what it represents? something to ponder on.......

Whoah, I can't beeive so many girls here are in favor of the way black hats look on guys.. I personally felt I looked awkward in a black hat..not that I'd wear them anyway (outside of a yeshiva in which it's enforced).

Maidel: I don't really see girls hitting on guys with black hats even when they're obviously not married (and visa-versa)...
