One reason I don't read or watch local news is because I hate hearing tragic stories like this.
A 21 year-old passed away this Motzei Shabbos while he was on the treadmill in his Flatbush home.

i was in 9th grade with him but i never really knew him at all. terrible newz
I was so sad when I heard this, he was in my twin brothers class in elementary, and he was my younger brothers counselor in day camp. The Levya was near my house, there were police cars and everything...
It is true that sometime tragic stories find us no matter how much we avoid seeking them out. I found out about this one yesterday afternoon when my son came home early from yeshiva because of the levaya.
May such tragedies become a thing of the past.
I found out about it in the morning, only later did I find out who it was and that I knew him.
